About P2Trades

P2Trades is a free, peer-to-peer marketplace for trading Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) skins. We built it around a simple idea: players should be able to swap items directly with each other, without a middleman taking a cut and without handing their items over to a third-party bot.

Who runs it

P2Trades is an independent project run by a small team based in Türkiye. We started it in 2026 because we were trading skins ourselves and were tired of choosing between marketplaces that hold your items and Discord servers where nobody can be verified. The site, the price database and every guide are built and maintained by that same team; nothing here is outsourced or auto-generated.

We make money in two ways, and we would rather say so up front: a Premium tier for traders who want more visibility for their listings, and a small number of display ads on content pages. Neither affects which listings you see or the prices we show.

How it works

  1. Sign in with Steam.We use Steam's official OpenID sign-in, so you never share your Steam password with us.
  2. Create a listing. Pick the items you are offering from your Steam inventory and describe the items you want in return.
  3. Trade directly on Steam.Interested traders send you a Steam trade offer using your trade link, or make an offer on the listing with items from their own inventory. The trade is completed entirely inside Steam's own trade system — P2Trades never holds or touches your items.

Why peer-to-peer?

Marketplace sites that act as an intermediary typically charge a commission on every sale and require you to deposit items into their bots. Because P2Trades only connects traders and every trade settles through Steam itself, there are no listing fees, no commissions, and your skins stay in your own inventory until you accept a trade offer.

Where our prices and data come from

Every price on the site is a reference price, not a quote. We refresh them once a day from a public dump of Buff163 listings, which is the deepest liquid market for CS2 items and the benchmark most experienced traders already use. Where a skin has Doppler phases we track each phase separately. Float caps, rarity, and the case or collection an item comes from are read from the game's own item data.

Reference prices are for comparing two sides of a trade. They are not what you will get if you cash out today — our guide on valuing an inventory explains the difference in detail.

How the guides are written

The guidesare written by the team from our own trading experience and from the game's published mechanics — drop rates, float formulas, trade-hold rules. When a guide contains prices, the table is generated from the same daily data as the rest of the site and the page says so. We date every guide and update it when the game or the market changes what it says. If you find something wrong or out of date, tell us through the form below and we will fix it.
