CS2 Market Report: 10 to 17 October 2026

The short version

This report covers 10 to 17 October and compares 269 skins across six categories. The median change was zero, so the typical tracked skin ended the week where it started. That ends the single down week in the last report, when the median fell about 2.7 percent. The largest move either way was the Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New, down about 14.7 percent, from 47.72 to 40.72 dollars.

The count is less even than the median suggests. Across the six category rows 52 items rose, 86 fell and 131 did not move at all. No category posted a median past plus or minus 2 percent and none had two thirds of its items moving one way, so by the test this report uses there is no trend in any group. Rifles lean down, 14 risers against 38 fallers out of 91 items.

Where the moves were

Rifles are the largest group at 91 items and carry the lean: a median of zero with 14 up and 38 down, which leaves 39 unchanged. One sided on the count and flat on the median, so a lean rather than a block. Pistols at 54 items are even, 16 up against 18 down. SMGs at 13 items had 3 up and 5 down, and the six heavy items had none up and one down, both too small to read.

The gains were single names rather than groups. The M4A1-S Golden Coil in Battle-Scarred rose about 12.2 percent, from 41.68 to 46.75 dollars, the largest gain outside knives. The M4A4 Desolate Space in Minimal Wear added about 7.4 percent, from 14.99 to 16.10, while the same skin in Factory New fell about 9.3 percent, from 62.56 to 56.72. That is one name pulling apart across wears rather than a skin repricing.

The Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New gave back last week's gain and more, falling about 14.7 percent to 40.72 dollars after rising about 17.3 percent the week before. The Desert Eagle Mecha Industries in Factory New fell about 11.8 percent, from 24.55 to 21.65. All ten of the largest gains cleared about 4.9 percent and all ten of the largest falls cleared about 8.0 percent, so the names that moved moved properly. Anything under 3 percent is noise.

Knives and gloves

Knives tracked 69 items with a median of zero, 13 risers and 17 fallers, which leaves 39 unchanged and the two sides within four items of each other. Knives are flat on both tests this report uses.

The largest knife gain, and the largest gain in the window, was the Huntsman Knife Gamma Doppler in Minimal Wear, up about 12.3 percent from 232.63 to 261.22 dollars. The reference price for a Doppler name follows the cheapest phase on offer, so a swing there is usually the cheapest phase changing rather than the knife repricing, and traders should use the per-phase prices in our Doppler guide. The largest knife fall was the Karambit Lore in Minimal Wear, down about 10.1 percent from 737.94 to 663.40, the biggest fall in cash terms this week.

Gloves tracked 36 pairs with a median of zero, 6 risers and 7 fallers, leaving 23 pairs unchanged and the group flat. No glove reached the ten largest falls, a change from the last report, where the two largest glove falls both cleared 14 percent. The two largest glove gains were both Field-Tested and both cleared 5 percent.

What we are watching

The last report watched three things and the data answers all three. It asked whether the median would hold below zero; it did not, and rifles, named as the place it would show first, came back to a zero median. The two Minimal Wear Printstreams it watched did not keep falling: the USP-S Printstream in Minimal Wear rose about 6.5 percent from 47.50 to 50.61 dollars, and the M4A1-S Printstream in Minimal Wear is not among the ten largest moves either way. On knives, the long tail of fallers has gone.

Three things for the coming week. First, the M4A4 Desolate Space, at about 16.10 dollars in Minimal Wear and about 56.72 in Factory New, with the two wears moving against each other. Second, the Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New, which has now posted a double digit move in each direction in two weeks and sits at 40.72 dollars. Third, the gap between median and count, since a zero median with 86 fallers against 52 risers means the typical skin is flat while more names drift down than up.

For trading this is an easier week. Nothing in the window pushed prices and nearly half the tracked set did not move, so a ratio agreed a week ago mostly still stands. The exceptions are the twenty names above and any name split across wears, where the price you are quoted may belong to a different wear than the one in the trade.
