CS2 Market Report: 17 to 24 October 2026

The short version

This report covers 17 to 24 October and compares 294 skins across six categories. The median change was zero, so the typical tracked skin ended the week where it started, and that is the second week in a row at zero. The largest gain was the Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New, up about 15.7 percent, and the largest fall was the M9 Bayonet Marble Fade in Factory New, down about 19.7 percent.

Underneath the flat median the count has turned over. Across the six category rows 121 items rose, 36 fell and 137 did not move at all, close to the reverse of the last report and its 86 fallers against 52 risers. No category posted a median past plus or minus 2 percent and none had two thirds of its items moving one way, so by the test this report uses there is still no trend in any group. Pistols come nearest.

Where the moves were

Pistols are the one group with a direction. Across 55 items the median is about 1.7 percent, with 33 up against 3 down and 19 unchanged. That fails both tests, since the median sits inside 2 percent and 33 risers fall short of the 37 that two thirds of 55 would need, so it is a lean rather than a trend. Rifles are the largest group at 100 items and sit flat, a zero median with 45 up and 15 down. SMGs at 13 items had 5 up and 2 down, and the five heavy items none up and one down, both too small to read.

The gains were led by Factory New copies of cheap and mid priced names. The Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New rose about 15.7 percent, from 40.72 to 47.12 dollars, recovering most of the fall it posted in the last report. The MP7 Fade in Factory New added about 12.6 percent, from 9.26 to 10.43, and the USP-S Cortex in Factory New about 12.0 percent, from 22.17 to 24.83.

Falls outside knives and gloves were thin. The M4A1-S Printstream in Well-Worn was the largest, down about 13.7 percent from 180.58 to 155.86 dollars. The ten largest gains all cleared about 8.8 percent and the ten largest falls all cleared about 4.5 percent. Anything under 3 percent is noise.

Knives and gloves

Knives tracked 74 items with a median of zero, 22 risers and 13 fallers, which leaves 39 unchanged. Flat on both tests, but they hold the two largest falls. The M9 Bayonet Marble Fade in Factory New fell about 19.7 percent, from 778.59 to 624.95 dollars, the largest move either way this week. The Bayonet Lore in Field-Tested fell about 17.2 percent, from 234.88 to 194.45.

The largest knife gain was the Bowie Knife Gamma Doppler in Minimal Wear, up about 8.8 percent from 233.76 to 254.27 dollars. The reference price for a Doppler name follows the cheapest phase on offer, so a swing there is usually the cheapest phase changing rather than the knife repricing, and traders should use the per-phase prices in our Doppler guide. Three Gamma Doppler names sit among the twenty largest moves, one up and two down.

Gloves tracked 47 pairs with a median of zero, 16 risers and 2 fallers, leaving 29 pairs unchanged, so a lean up on a mostly still group. The one pair among the twenty largest moves is the Hand Wraps Overprint in Battle-Scarred, down about 14.8 percent from 66.69 to 56.84 dollars, against the direction of the 16 pairs that rose.

What we are watching

The last report watched three things and the data answers all three. It asked about the M4A4 Desolate Space and the gap between its wears: the skin is not among the twenty largest moves either way this week, so that split did not widen further. It watched the Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New after two double digit moves in opposite directions, and it has now posted a third, up to 47.12 dollars. It watched the gap between median and count, which has turned over, 121 risers against 36 fallers on a zero median.

Three things for the coming week. First, pistols, at a median of about 1.7 percent with 33 of 55 items up and only 3 down, the closest any category has come to a trend in these reports. Second, whether the count holds its new direction, since 137 of 294 skins did not move at all. Third, the Glock-18 Water Elemental in Factory New, now three weeks of double digit moves, which makes any single week price for it a poor reference.

For trading, the typical skin is still flat while far more names drift up than down, so a ratio agreed a week ago mostly still stands. The exceptions are the twenty names above. Nothing in the window pushed prices.
